Introduction

Le Truong Giang was born in 1980. He is a landmine survivor, who is living in Vinh Ninh commune, Quang Ninh district, Quang Binh province of Vietnam.
He had the landmine accident in 1989 while herding cows. The accident caused his spine damaged and the vertebra now becomes calcified, hindering him walking normally. He has to move like a wood trunk when he wants to turn his body.
The rice paining is made purely from rice. The colors are the true colors of the rice depending on how the rice is roasted at different levels and for different time duration.
Giang keeps wishing to pass the rice-painting profession on to many other people with a strong hope that this art is inherited, since his disability and his spine are getting worse and worse.
